They’ve bested world champions and top contenders alike, but for both Anthony Dirrell and Daniel Jacobs, their toughest opponent came outside the ring. It was a common foe: cancer.

But Dirrell and Jacobs confronted the disease with uncommon success, overcoming it when doctors warned that they may never fight again.

See how Dirrell and Jacobs beats the odds during Never Give Up: A Boxing Survival Story, which airs on Spike TV at 11:30 p.m. tonight.

After defeating cancer, Anthony Dirrell (27-0-1, 22 KOs) and Daniel Jacobs (28-1, 25 KOs) are on to their next fights—on the same card—April 24 at Chicago’s UIC Pavilion.

Dirrell takes on Badou Jack (18-1-1, 12 KOs), while Jacobs clashes with the hardnosed Caleb Truax (25-1-2, 15 KOs).

The bouts will be broadcast on Spike TV at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Get a behind-the-scenes look as the fighters get ready to throw down with each other in the latest Lights Out episode, which airs on Spike TV at 11 p.m. today.
