The first PBC on NBC card opens with a blockbuster brawl at 147 pounds as Keith "One Time" Thurman squares up with Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero. Thurman, 26, is unbeaten so far in his career, racking up 21 knockouts in his 24 wins. He’ll face his toughest test to date in Guerrero, 31, who at 32-2-1 has only lost once since 2006—to Floyd Mayweather Jr.
On the flip side of the main card, Adrien “The Problem” Broner vs. John “The Gladiator” Molina Jr. promises to be all-out war at 140 pounds. Broner, 25, has notched 22 knockouts en route to a 29-1 record. Molina is in lock-step with 22 knockouts of his own at 27-5.
The undercard pits three-division world champion Abner Mares (28-1-1, 15 KOs) against Arturo Santos Reyes (18-4-0, 5 KOs) at 126 pounds.
The action starts at 8:30 p.m. EDT on NBC, with coverage to follow at 11 p.m. on NBC Sports Network. Marv Albert will provide blow-by-blow coverage, Al Michaels hosts and Sugar Ray Leonard will analyze all the action.
