The 21-year-old San Antonio native will get back in the ring on April 25 when he faces Nicaragua’s Nelson Lara in a 10-round bout that headlines an FS1 Toe-to-Toe Tuesdays card at the Fitz Tunica Casino & Hotel in Tunica, Mississippi.

Televised coverage (9 p.m ET/6 p.m. PT) also will include a 147-pound matchup set for 10 rounds between 2012 Olympian Oscar Molina (13-1-1, 10 KOs) and Levan Ghvamichava (17-3-1, 13 KOs).

After competing at 130 pounds for most of his pro career, Mario Barrios (18-0, 10 KOs) will be fighting at 140 for the second straight bout. In his last fight on March 4, he earned a sixth-round TKO of Yardley Suarez in Brooklyn, New York, on the Keith Thurman-Danny Garcia undercard.

“I'm excited to be back on FS1 and FOX Deportes for this fight,” Barrios said. “This is a great platform for young fighters to show their talents, and that's what I plan on doing April 25. Everyone tune in to see me put on a great performance and for an exciting night of fights from Tunica.”

After going 7-0 in 2015, Barrios remained perfect in three fights last year, including a unanimous decision over former 130-pound world title challenger Devis Boschiero in his first career 12-round bout last July.

Lara (17-7-4, 9 KOs) has won his last two fights after four straight losses. The 33-year-old Nicaraguan, who now fights out of Costa Rica, opened his career at 15-1-2 after making his pro debut in July 2004.

While his win-loss record has suffered over his last 10 bouts, Lara is coming off a first-round KO of Ramon Estrada in Costa Rica on March 24. He has fought in six countries during his pro career, and will be competing in the United States for the third time.

“I'm very excited to fight once again in the U.S. and on FS1 and FOX Deportes,” Lara said. “I'm grateful to TGB Promotions for the opportunity.

“Mario Barrios is a very skilled, young, undefeated prospect. However, I have faced much better competition and will be well prepared for victory on April 25.”
