Dave “Scooter” Honig might be more known for his work with celebrities—he’s the man behind LL Cool J's freakish physique, and their legendary workouts earned the pair a New York Times best-seller in the process—but Honig made his mark in the fitness world with elite athletes and has always had a soft spot for boxers.
Daniel Jacobs wasn’t out of shape despite having last fought in August, but the 160-pound cancer-surviving champion knew that it was time to get an edge leading up to his Premier Boxing Champions debut on Spike TV on Friday night, so he enlisted Honig’s help.
Under Honig’s tutelage, the 28-year-old Jacobs says he’s in the best shape of his life and fans of the “Miracle Man” can expect fireworks when he takes on Caleb Truax at Chicago's UIC Pavilion. Don't forget to stay dialed in to our full coverage of Jacobs vs Truax.
