Los Angeles-based trainer Dean Campos has worked with former 154-pound champion Sergio Mora for 20 years.

Campos helped develop Mora from a rising prospect out of East Los Angeles to reality TV show winner to world champion.

Sergio Mora, aka “The Latin Snake,” won the first season of The Contender in 2005 before earning a world title by upsetting Vernon Forrest in June 2008.

“We’re both very excited because it’s been nearly seven years since he fought for the title,” Campos said. "He’s in the gym, busting his butt and he’s gonna shock the world again.”

Hear why Campos doesn't believe the 34-year-old Mora is past his prime, and why he will defeat Daniel Jacobs in Brooklyn, New York, on August 1.
