PBC to showcase boxing’s rising stars in monthly series on Bounce TV

Premier Boxing Champions will begin delivering even more knockouts next month with the debut of “PBC – The Next Round” on Bounce TV, which will showcase the sport’s rising stars and future champions.

Three-time U.S. Olympian Rau'shee Warren will try to dethrone champion Juan Carlos Payano in a 118-pound title fight on Bounce TV on August 2.

The monthly series premieres August 2 at 9 p.m. ET with a 118-pound world title bout between champion Juan Carlos “Baby Pacquiao” Payano (16-0, 8 KOs) and Rau’shee “Nuke” Warren (13-0, 4 KOs) at Full Sail Live on the campus of Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.

Warren, a southpaw from Cincinnati, is a three-time U.S. Olympian and the first member of the 2012 U.S. boxing team to fight for a world title.

Payano became a world champion in September, when he won a six-round technical decision over Anselmo Moreno in Mesquite, Texas. He represented the Dominican Republic in the 2004 and 2008 Olympics.

The inaugural PBC – The Next Round broadcast will also include two 10-round fights in the 154-pound division: Cuban Olympic medalist Yudel Johnson (17-1, 9 KOs) takes on hard-hitting Jorge Cota (24-1, 22 KOs), while Olympian John Jackson (19-2, 15 KOs) battles veteran Filipino southpaw Dennis Laurente (49-5, 30 KOs). The winners of those bouts will face off at a later date.
